2026 2nd International Conference on Environmental Monitoring and Ecological Restoration
We are grateful for your patience and support as we transformed our planned on-site gathering into a fully virtual conference. The success of EMER 2026 relied on the active participation and collaborative spirit of all attendees, coming together to build a dynamic, interactive, and inclusive academic space.
2026 International Conference on Environmental Monitoring and Ecological Remediation (EMER 2026) was successfully held online on March 27, 2026, from 13:50 to 17:00. The conference was proudly supported by the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, and Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. It featured two distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Guangming Li from Tongji University, who delivered an insightful presentation on "Release Kinetics and Control Strategies of Emerging Contaminants at the Three-Phase Interface of Plastic Substrates"; and Prof. Shengqi Guo from Hebei University of Technology, who shared his cutting-edge work on "Application of Defective Photocatalytic Systems in Environmental Pollution Control." Additionally, experts from Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences actively contributed to the academic exchange.

The conference also included an oral presentation session, where 14 emerging scholars from various universities presented their latest research. Topics ranged from underwater coral image recognition using generative adversarial networks, PM2.5 pollution control zoning based on remote sensing data, and fly ash effects on sandy soil, to advanced SERS substrates for nanoplastic detection, ecological capacity assessment in the Yangtze River Estuary, dynamic photoaging of biomass-derived pyrogenic organic matter, airport noise assessment, UAV sound source separation, biochar-based remediation, fuzzy inference-based environmental risk warning, non-hydrolysis synthesis of TiO2 photocatalysts, and a pedagogical program on solid waste management. In total, approximately 30 scholars from China, Germany, Peru, and other countries and regions participated online, engaging in focused and in-depth discussions that fostered a vibrant atmosphere for academic exchange.
Although held virtually, the conference provided an efficient and productive platform for all attendees, effectively facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and the generation of innovative ideas. On behalf of the organizing committee, we extend our sincere gratitude to all participating guests, speakers, and staff for their strong support. We look forward to continuing this academic journey in the future and working together towards green and sustainable development.
